Welcome to STS: Tampa Bay's Premier Lacrosse Program

Our Mission:
South Tampa Sticks Youth Lacrosse League, Inc. is dedicated to promoting and honoring the amateur sport of Lacrosse among the youth of Tampa Bay for the purpose of developing a love of the game through positive coaching, community among players, parents, coaches and officials, teaching life lessons beyond the playing field, recognition of all players, and, during regular season at the youth level, participation regardless of ability, talent or skill.

STS is an I.R.C. §501(c)(3) not for profit corporation.

Our Programs:
STS sponsors youth (boys and girls), middle-school (boys and girls) and high school club (Plant High School Boys and Girls and Robinson High School Boys and Girls) lacrosse teams. We currently serve approximately 440 children in our programs. Our teams participate in the Florida Gulf Coast Lacrosse League and we are affiliated with the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of US Lacrosse, the national governing body for the sport of lacrosse. All players during our regular and travel season programs are required to be members of US Lacrosse.

General Registration Information:
Lacrosse is traditionally a spring sport and our seasons generally run from mid-January through the beginning of May, with practices starting at the beginning of January of each year. Registration for our regular season programs normally opens in early to mid-December preceding the start of each season, and all of our registration is handled on-line through this website. Registration for our regular season will normally close by mid-February of each year. Beginning in 2013, we will also be sponsoring a travel program for boys advanced players (U-11, U-13, U-15 and U-17) during the May/June and October/November travel season. Tryouts for these teams will be in December of the preceding year. We also typically run abbreviated fall programs each year. Those will be announced in mid-August to early September of each year, when registration will open on-line for those events. Registration for fall events will normally close by November 1st. During periods when registration for our events is not open, you will not be able to register for our programs. Tampa Tarpons Boys Travel Teams Registration

Registration for our new Tampa Tarpons Boys Travel Teams sponsored by STS is now open to players who were selected through the travel team tryouts in early December, 2012, and those additional players who, by their performance during our regular Spring Season, are invited by the Coaching Staff. If your son has been selected for one of the Tampa Tarpon Teams (U-11, U-13, U-15 and U-17), you will receive an email over the next several days reminding you of your son's selection with a link to follow to register for the upcoming Travel Season. The cost of the travel season (exclusive of travel expenses, lodging and meals, which are the responsibility of each family) will be no more than $900.00, payable in not more than 3 installments as follows: $300.00 due by March 31, 2013, $300.00 due by April 30, 2013 and the balance due by May 15, 2013. If you are participating in the Tampa Tarpons Boys Travel Program, please register as soon as possible after you receive the email invitation so that we may reserve your spot.
